The Difference Between Teak and Eucalyptus Patio Furniture

There are many similarities between teak and Eucalyptus Patio Furniture but it is the differences that are important. Eucalyptus and teak are both hard woods but Eucalyptus is treated at the source of the wood with oils and an insecticide that prevents insect infestation. The oils make the wood more weather resistant so it retains its beautiful color and finish longer. Teak required more specific upkeep, where Eucalyptus Patio Furniture requires only yearly oil to be applied to the finish to ensure its durability. When left outdoors in the elements for long periods of time with no oil, it turns a lovely gray color.
