Good News For Strength Training Women

As people get older – men as well as women – the weight tends to sink. For guys, it accumulates around the belly. For women, it goes to the breasts, hips and thighs. Unfair, but true. There’s also the problem of saggy underarms! Clearly, strength training women are better off reducing the excess poundage in these red flag areas! All these problem areas  can be fixed, or at least minimized, by weight training. Of course, a weight training regimen must be combined with a healthy diet as well, but together, strength training women can optimize their health and their longevity…and add to plain old enjoyment of life! The barbell press, for example, strengthens the muscles that hold up the breast, preventing it from sagging as the years accumulate! Dumbbell french curls tighten the tricep muscles and deal with those flabby underarms. Leg curls and leg presses tone up the thighs and calves.  The stomach can be flattened by situps or crunches…although a bit of dieting is needed for that as well.
