My sister has always been the risk-taker in the family. I don’t know where she gets it from, but it seems to work for her. After high school she struck out on her own, simply saying college would have to wait, she had other things to do. We didn’t hear from her for some time, and, of course, Mom and Dad worried. I think I knew she would be all right, but I was as surprised as everyone else when we finally got a card saying she was now in Nashville. The rest of the message was equally shocking. She had put together an all girl band and they were preparing for a contest for the best female group. She said that winning this title would really help them over the top. The funny thing? I didn’t even know that she could sing!
